Route 128, Hoenn

It was a normal day for the denizens of the Hoenn region, and the coastal country was enjoying it. Off the coast of Ever Grande City, the water was calm, the sun was shining, and Wingull and Tentacool alike were froliking among the waves.

Today, Fishermen Barry was out on his small vessel, hoping to bring in today's load of Magikarp. He had a great catch so far, and his fishing chain was still unbroken. His chances of snagging a shiny increasing every minute, it was safe to say he was having a swell time.

He sighed, leaning back into his fishing chair in contentment. This was the life, he thought to himself.

With a sudden pull, his fishing pole was almost launched out of his hands, only being stopped by the apparatus holding it in place. Barry was quickly snapped out of his calm stupor, and grabbed the rod to help pull it in. However, the force was even greater then he expected, and in a matter of moments his boat itself began to move in the direction of the line.

"Wo-ho-ho!" he yelled, as his boat gained speed. Whatever was on the line, it was incredibly strong, to pull his 40 foot boat at alarming speeds. "Must be at least a Sharpedo, maybe a Swamper or Wailord!" he exclaimed, getting excited about the prospects of this catch.

Meanwhile, his boat continued to pick up speed, now skipping across the water and bouncing off of the many rocks and boulders around the route. Becoming more and more battered, the fishing boat started to look pretty bad off. Fisherman Barry was now getting extremely nervous, and started to reach for the pocket knife on his belt to cut the line. He wasn't about to risk his life on even the largest of Wailords.

Suddenly, the line went slack.

Looking at his rod, then back out at the water, the poor fisherman was now even more concerned as to what was happening. Why had the line gone loose? Had whatever he had hooked given up?

Before he could ponder these questions, bubbles began to rise around his boat. As if something large was about to surface beneath him. The bubbles moved a few yards away from his boat, then ceased, suddenly, as if a valve had been shut off. From just a short distance away, a dark shape appeared just beneath the surface. It rose, but before Barry could make out what it was, a concave shape rose out of the water, hidden by the breaking surf. It rose, 10, 20, 30 feet into the air, partially blotting out the sun.

Fisherman Barry's jaw went slack. Then, he laughed.

For before him was a Wailord, the gentle giants of Hoenn. It was incredibly large, even by its species standard, and must have been over 70 feet long. In its mouth, held daintily as if it were a flower, was Barry's lure.

"Ah-he-he, you sure got me there buddy. I was scared for a second that you were some giant sea monster!"

The Wailord, grinning in response, spat the lure out so that it landed perfectly at the fishermen's feet. It laughed with him, emmitting a loud "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIILOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORD!"

The two were still laughing as a massive pair of reptillian jaws rose from the depths, encircling them both in their maw. With a thundourus boom, they snapped shut, swallowing both boat and whale whole.

Several Days later
Off the coast of Sootopolis city

A helicaptor batted at the air, hovering above the harsh waves. It was pointed in the direction of Sootopolis City, or rather, what was left of it. The giant, porceline white stone that had formed a bowl around the city had be crashed through, and half of it was in ruins. There was no sign of the few buildings that had made up the bristling city, and no sign of life either, save a few Mandibuzz perched on the rim.

The Helicopter pointed a camera at the disaster area, then turned back to the reporter inside, who was trying her best to keep her hair together in the roaring wind.

"We're coming to you live from Route 126, just outside of whats left of Sootopolis-"

"Getthisjokerofftheair- Whats left of Sootopolis City, which as you can see has been devasteted by what is still an unknown force. Eyewitness reports from Pacifidlodge town report a giant creature, unlike any pokemon seen before, terrorizing the coastal areas. Obviously this may not be the most accurate description but as of now there are-"

The on scene reporter cut herself off, noticing something in her peripheral vision. Her reaction as she laid eyes on this caught the attention of the cameraman, who turned to see what she was looking at. About 2 miles off but clearly visable due to it's massive size, was a giant greenish-gray reptile rising from the ocean. Great spikes jutted from its back, and it stood on two legs, high above everything around it.

Of course, this was Godzilla.

"Oh Lord Helix..." muttered the reporter, shocked by what she saw. Godzilla payed the helicopter no mind, moving on towards his target. After having found himself in this new, strange land, the king of Kaiju had been constantly searching for a worthy opponent. Or at the very least, something worth his attention. And he may have found it. He sensed great power hidden in this land, something deep and primal, but so far had not been successful in finding this power.

His search was leading him to an odd anomaly in the air. It was a shimmering, glittering double helix floating in the air, glowing with a myriad of colors across the rainbow. It emenated power, in a raw and ancient form, and Godzilla was going to find out what it was, either to fight it or get stronger.

Mega Evol By Ikpoke-d8xtr7r by Terraraptor

However, before he got any closer, two tiny, purple darts moved past his eyes, so small he could barely see them in detail. They resembled jet planes, but looked alive.

Latios and Latias had come, and as protectors of the Mega Evolution energy, they has no intention of letting this monster get it. They cried out, the sounds of planative reasoning and beggin falling on death ears. Godzilla roared in return, and continued to step forward. Seeing that they wouldn't be talking the big G down, both let loose with their signature moves. Latias formed and fired a sphere made of psychic mist, while Latios blasted the radioactive monster with its Luster Purge attack.

They didn't do jack shit.

Angered by their resistence, Godzilla grunted in annoyance more then anything. Opening his great maw, a small blast of atomic energy exploded outwards, creating a shockwave that blew both of the Eon twins back. They tumbled out of the air, landing in the ocean below. The two dragons surfaced, their Mega Evolutions gone from being knocked out and fainting. They could only comfort each other and watch as the massize Kaiju waded closer and closer to unlimited power.

Once again, something managed to block his path. Only this time it was very noticable. A platinum grey Pyramid, being propelled through the air by rockets on each corner. It certainly wasn't the strangest flying vehicle Godzilla had ever seen, but it got his attention.

Standing on the egde of the flying Pyramid were five humans, each flanked by at least one strange creature. They were the Hoenn Elite Four, accompanied by the Pyramid King Brandon of the Battle Frontier. Sydney and his Absol, Phoebe and her Sabeyle, Glacia and her Glalie, and Drake with his Altaria. Brandon himself stood in the center of three golems of different composition. Regirock, Regiice, and Registeel.

Brandon spoke, a stern but confident look on his face. "Now! Hyper Beam!" At once, the three Regi's fired red hot beams of energy, the three beams crossing over in mid air to form one greater beam. The blast of energy struck Godzilla right in the face.

Meanwhile, each member of the Elite 4 raised a hand into the air, a bracelet glowing on each. Their pokemon reacted to the Mega-Bands, and each went through their own Mega Evolution.

"Mega Evolve!"

Absol sprouted wings, Glalie broke its jaw, Altaria became a veritable cloud, and Sabelye gained a giant crystal. Both Absol and Sabeyle leapt from the Pyramid, landing on Godzilla's body and attack with Night Slash and Foul Play respectively. Altaira fired off a Moonblast attack, while Glalie blasted the Kaiju with an ice beam.

All the combined power of Hoenn's most powerful trainers impacted the giant form, causing explosions and clouds of smoke. As the attacks ended and the smoke cleared, they were greeted by a horrific sight. The giant monster before them had not a scratch on its body to show for it. Furthermore, it looked like it was holding back a massive shit eating grin.

Brandon was the first to act, noticing this was a bad situation. "Everyone, inside the Pyramid, NOW!" Human and Pokemon scrambled for the shelter, but it was no safe haven. Godzilla's spikes on its back began to glow, and soon he had charged up a massive amount of energy.

His atomic breath blew a hole straight through the flying marvel, grounding it for good.

Sky Pillar

Atop the great Sky Pillar stood two figures, watching the carnage below them with forlorn expressions. One was a man, clad in a dark gray suit and with sharp, light blue hair. His name was Steven Stone.

The other was a woman, with dark, cropped hair and covered in a ripped up tan cloak. A whismur stood by her side, shaking nervously. Her name was Zinnia.

They stood, knowing what had to be done but both hoping that such a drastic last resort might not be taken. However, with the fall of the Elite 4, it was evident they had no choice. It was now or never.

Steven spoke, not taking his eyes off of the brutality far below. "So, your sure you can summon it?" He voice was cold as the steel of his hair, but to the point.

Zinnia responded, calmly but surely. "Of course. I am part of the Draconians. And this isn't the first time its happened has it?"

"No, but its still a great risk. I'm not even convinced this will work. But we have no choice." Steven looked to her, his eyes full of intense sadness and regret. "Summon it".

Zinnia nodded, then closed her eyes in acceptance. This was her duty, though she never thought she would have to do it again. Raising her arms to the sky, she recalled the chant passed down to her for generations of Draconians.

"With jewel bright and borrowed might from the spirits of the departed... Through sacred rite, in thy great sight, my life as well I offer... I summon thee...to aid...this fight... and save us...from disaster!” Realize them...upon this world...! For this I do summon thee! Rayquazaaa!!!"

For several moments, the air was filled with only silence and the blowing of the wind. Nothing stirred. Steven was about ti break said silence and lament that it was now hopeless, when suddenly, dark clouds began to gather above them. They swirled about, like a hurricane of blackness, forming a mid air funnel of sorts. The eye of the storm appeared above them, a small circle in the whirlpool of dark clouds.

But that circle was not unoccupied.

Descending down from the heavens above was a green serpent, twisting and undulating as it flew downwards. Yellow lines glew across its body, forming ancient runes. The Sky High Pokemon landed, hovering just above the surface of Sky Pillar.

Rayquaza had arrived.

"Rayquaza, you came!" Zinnia exclaimed, happy to once again see the veritable god of her people. Steven was taken aback in awe of the mighty beast before them. Rayquaza simply looked at them, then turned its attention to Godzilla, who had not yet noticed the dragons arrival.

Thinking quickly, Zinnia grabbed the bag behind her, the one Steven had brought with them just in case Rayquaza needed the boost. She lifted it up to Rayquaza, revealing the cluster of meteorites within. However, the pokemon only gave it a glance, then took off, flying in the direction of Godzilla himself.

"Huh, guess Rayquaza was already full." Zinnia remarked.

"Good, that was my favorite meteorite collection" replied the Hoenn Champion, smugly. Zinnia responded with a playful jab in the ribs.

Stepping over the wreckage of the Battle Pyramid, Godzilla moved ever closer to what was the source of so much great power. He was within 100 feet of it when a roar caught his attention. Turning around, he saw a tiny green worm floating in front of his face. Rayquaza roared in anger again, determined to protect its region.

Godzilla almost laughed in response. As if such a tiny beast could step up to him. In fact, he did laugh, a raspy roar that jutted outwards and echoed across the region.

Infuriated, Rayquaza took the oppertunity to spin around and smack the Kaiju with the end of its tail. The force of the blow was a wicked slap to Godzilla's face, twisting his snout to the size and interrupting the cocky monster. His laugh ended immediately, replaced by a low growl of fury. Such disrespect would not be tolerated.

Both monsters stared each other down, knowing that they would stop at nothing to kill the other. The time was now.

Fight!
Rayquza Vs Godzilla By Cyberagent369-d8ib0ff by Terraraptor

Opening his massive maw, Godzilla bared his fangs and snapped forward, aiming to bite and swallow the dragon in one gulp. But when his mouth closed there was nothing there. He looked around, trying to find his enemy, but not a thing was in sight. Confused, he turned around to-

A green blur slashed across his face, the Dragon Claw attack scoring a direct hit. Gaping wounds opened in lines over Godzilla's cheek, then sealed back up almost instantly. His eyes followed the fleeing pokemon. It was moving fast, very fast. But not fast enough.

Taking a deep breath, Godzilla reared back his head, then fired a pulsating beam of atomic energy in the direction Rayquaza flew. The Sky High pokemon saw the incoming beam, and out-manuvered it with ease, diving below its range. Godzilla followed his target, the beam destroying anything in its path as Rayquaza bobbed and weaved around the many rocks decorating the Hoenn Sea.

Turning in a wide circle, Rayquaza flew up behind the king of the Kaiju, floating just behind the great beasts head. A blue and red dagger of energy blasted from its mouth, the Dragon Pulse attack surging forward at a high speed. It struck the base of Godzilla's neck, eliciting a cry of shock from him. Instead of turning his huge body around, which would take time, Godzilla raised his tail in an effort to swat this troublesome insect.

Seeing the strike coming, Rayquaza easily countered it with its Dragon Tail. He flipped, slamming his own tail downwards as the two appendages collided and bounced off each other. Looking up, the dragon pokemon noticed Godzilla was still somehow completly unscathed. Godzilla was equally annoyed that his tiny foe had somehow avoided his regular attacks.

Twisting its body in midair as Godzilla trashed about to strike him, Rayquaza dashed offwards to the south, moving as fast as the air currents could take it. Godzilla followed its as far as his eyes could see tracking the pokemon's movement. He fired another Atomic Breath, missing his target entirely but scorching nearly everything else in sight.

Out of no where came the protector of Hoenn, dashing around Godzilla's large form and slashing rapidly. Resembling a rapid slashing of the sword, Rayquaza left green streaks in the air as it made its attack. Breaking off from the attack, Rayquaza began to circle the king of Kaiju at high speeds, winds coning around it as it did so. Soon, a tornado began to form and swirl, basically a Twister around the giant lizard.

Godzilla was not amused. Snarling in rage, he fired short bursts of his atomic breath once more, but could not hit the small speedy foe. Frustrated, he gathered energy around his body, the nuclear power jolting around him, which finally resulted in a wide pulse of blue. Water parted in a large circle around Godzilla almost immediately afterwards, and rocks were scattered into the air. Rayquaza himself was caught up in the blast, and was sent tumbling backwards into the air.

Not missing his chance, Godzilla fired another beam of nuclear energy, striking Rayquaza head on! The beam carried the dragon miles into the air, continuing even as Rayquaza thrashed in pain to escape. Eventually, the beam ended, and Godzilla looked confident that his foe would be reduced to ashes. Turning, he resumed his stroll to the power source.

However, high up in the Stratosphere, rage was building. Steam and smoke billowed off of Hoenn's gaurdian, the sheer heat from that attack burning his flesh.

But he was far from dead. Oh so far.

Flying even higher so that the cold temperatures and suspended water molecules would help heal the burns, Rayquaza once again summoned vast amounts of storm clouds, which gathered below him to hide his ascent. He stopped just at the edge of the Earth's atmosphere, determined to gain as much velocity as he could with this next strike. He had a plan, having seen another pokemon do something similar once before.

Down below, Godzilla noticed the quickly gathering storm, and was clever enough to know this couldn't be good. He watched the skies, not going to be ambushed by speed this time.

Unfortunately, he wasn't clever enough to look directly behind him.

Rayquaza descended from the heavens, bursting through the storm clouds like a wrecking ball, and he wasn't alone. He was followed by several bolts of lightning, struggling just to keep up with him and staying on his path. Just before Rayquaza struck his Fly attack, he slowed, spinning his body so that his tail was poised above his head, ready to strike. Rayquaza's tail began to glow with metallic energy, and it became as grey and as sharp as steel.

With just enough time to look behind him and see the spectacle occur, Godzilla was smacked in the snout by the Iron Tail, which conducted the racing electricity right into the body of the Kaiju. Staggering to one knee and reeling with pain as his upper jaw snapped and 100,000 amperes of electricity coursed through his body Godzilla fell to the water, causing a great splash.

Floating above the stunned monster, Rayquaza roared in victory, assured that combo had put his enemy down. Partially hidden by the water, Godzilla's snout jutted back into place
with a loud crack. He growled, low in tone yet high in fury, a primeval, beastial sound that reverberated the very air around him. In tune with the air current, Rayquaza felt the growl more than it heard it.

Rising to his full height, the King of Kaiju, Gojira himself, stood and glared at his tiny opponent. Next to him, Rayquaza looked to be the worm his foe thought of him. How dare this puny snake even try to usurpe his reign!

His shoulders taunt in rage, Godzilla took in a deep breath, inhaling through massive nostrils. His spines and tail glew a bright blue, sparking with power and nuclear rage. He opened his maw, the atomic breath just visable in the back of his throat-

Rayquaza used Hyper Beam!

Giphy by Terraraptor

Firing much faster, the orange/red beam of firey energy blasted Godzilla at near point blank range, the beam encompasing his entire skull. Rayquaza did not relent, blasting the huge form as long as the attack would last. Eventually, he had to stop, but tensed himself for the furious reaction.

What was visible was a dinosaurian skull, devoid of all flesh and muscle. It looked comical, just the bones left from the neck up. Steam billowed off of the bleached bones, and Godzilla's body remained motionless. No muscle, skin, tendons, or even brain matter were visible. Rayquaza roared in victory, his call heard for miles. He flew around the steaming mess, in mockery of his forsaken foe.

A clawed hand reached up with surprising agility, snatching Rayquaza out of the air. It gripped the snake like body like one would hold a flag, and brought him in front of Godzilla's nonexsistant face. Had he any skin left, Godzilla would have had a vicious and above all, furious look in his face.

Trashing like a worm on a hook, the sky high pokemon tried to escape, but the King's grip was too strong. After a brief moment of surging anger, Godzilla wound his arm back, then with a mighty thrust, pounded Rayquaza into his regenerating skull, cracking it further in the process!

But he was not finished. Despite his current lack of a larynx, Godzilla took a deep breath and fired another beam of his Atomic Breath, completely encompasing his entire hand, which still held Rayquaza. A draconian scream of pain went out almost instantly, as the pokemons tiny form was lost in the beam.

When his breath ended, Godzilla followed it up by pounding his other fist into his palm, then transfered Rayquaza to the other hand. With a quick toss downward, Rayquaza was sent plummeting into the water. He was thrown with so much force, that he struck the deep ocean floor without losing much speed at all.

Just as the dragon was about to regain his senses from that beating, a town sized foot stomped the ever living shit of him, pushing him farther into the seabed. And again, and again, and again.

By the time Godzilla was through curb stomping his opponent into the sea, his head had fully regenerated and was back to normal. There was a large crater in the ocean where he had been stomping, and no sign of the dragon. Growing weary and frustrated of this world in general, Godzilla nodded to no one in particular, happy with his work. He sauntered off, moving, once again, in the direction of the power source.

A few minutes and several miles later, a water spout erupted in front of the King of Kaiju. There again was Rayquaza, covered in burn marks and its tail bent at an unnatural angle, but still alive. Godzilla smirked. The little punk had guts, he had to admit. But this ended here.

Opening his great maw, Godzilla fired off not one, not two, but three beams of atomic energy in a triangle around his foe, and they closed in with surprising swiftness. Rayquaza dodged it with ease, using Extremespeed to dash of of the way. He flew right alongside the beam, hidden within its brightness. Blasting past Godzilla's head, he flew around the side of the great beasts and fired his very own Dragonbreath, the blue air and flames bouncing off Godzilla's tough hide. The attack did virtually no damage, but had an unanticipated side effect.

Turning to face his foe, Godzilla suddenly found himself unable to move. The paralysis had taken affect, and made Godzilla what he was to most other monsters. A giant sitting duck.

In mockery of his foe, Rayquaza flew in front of the immobile beasts snout and used Scary Face, halving the Kaiju's speed even more. Godzilla broke free of the static charge and fired a massive beam that destroyed Pacifidlodge town miles away, but Rayquaza avoided it with ease once again.

Putting some distance between them, Rayquaza hid behind Mt. Pyre as he performed the Dance of Dragons, boosting his attack and speed. Oddly enough, then making no effort at all to hide his location, roared at the top of his lungs and flew into the sky. Godzilla found his foe immediately, but as he charged his atomic breath in response, he once again found himself completely paralyzed.

Godzilla watched in rage and just the slightest amount of concern, as his foe gathered energy around him. Rayquaza twisted in spirals as he flew higher and higher into the sky, surrounded by blue and red energy.

Godzilla is Paralyzed, it can't move!

Finishing its arc, Rayquaza began to dive....

Godzilla is paralyzed, it can't move!

Gaining speed and power as he descended....

Godzilla is Paralyzed, it can't move!

To perform Dragon Ascent-

Godzilla broke free of Paralysis!

Just as Rayquaza came in close, Godzilla did two things. Firstly, he ducked, barely avoiding the powerful attack. Secondly, he swung his tail upwards at the same time, intercepting Rayquaza and smacking the dragon away like a baseball. The Hoenn Dragon was sent careening off in the opposite direction, twirling out of control as he was sent flying right in the direction of Sky Pillar.

"Look Out!" Shouted Zinnia, far too late. Rayquaza collided with the base of Sky Pillar, embedding himself into the surrounding rock. It happened so fast, the rest of the tower took a few moments to follow suit, but it did. The old rocks caved in, and the entire tower collapsed in a few moments. Steven Stone tried to keep his balance, but fell as well, tumbling down as-

A blue and red blur dashed by and caught the former champion. "Got him?" asked Zinnia. Her Salamance looked below, making it sure caught the silver haired stud. He was hanging by his waistcoat, but otherwise unharmed. Salamance tossed him unceremoniously onto its back, and he scrambled to hang on.

"Zinnia, please, don't do that again."

"No promises!"

He sighed, exhausted and still on adrenaline from that near death experience. Forlornly, he looked upon the now destroyed tower."So what now? Your Rayquaza's out for the count, what options do we have left? Should we call for more reinforcements?"

"Down for the count?!?! No way, Rayquaza won't go down that easily. Just you wait."

"Zinnia, its dead!"

"He's not dead! Just sleeping."

What neither knew was that Zinnia was closer to being right then they though. Having been fainted by the damage from battle and having an entire skyscraper collapse on its body, Rayquaza was indeed unconscious. But he's wasn't dead. In an instinctual reaction to preserve its life, Rayquaza had used Rest, healing most of the damage from their earlier clash. The dragons eyes flickered open, seeing nothing but darkness all around it. Rayquaza tried to push itself up, but the thousands of tons of stone on top of it did not yield. It stifled a cry of pain, its entire body seemed to be torn asunder from that fight. Not all of its wounds were healed. With a heavy sigh, Rayquaza relented that it could not win. This monster had too much power.

And yet.... what was this feeling? Like something was close to awakening within the protector of Hoenn. What Rayquaza didn't know is that the news helicopter that had arrived on the scene hours before had captured and broadcast the clash of giants. People all over the world had watched as a myth from the past faced off against what appeared to be the apocalypse.

Thousands of people were staring at the collapsed tower, thinking, praying, hoping something would arise.

Rayquaza is reacting to Humanities Fervent wish!

The very stones that imprisoned Rayquaza now formed a circle around it, a cocoon of raw, primal energy. Those watching from far off saw an explosion of light from the towers location, and when it dissipated, something new.

Rayquaza was there, floating, but now transformed. Yellow streaks flowed alongside it, and its jaws can grown mandibles of titantic proportions. Mega Rayquaza was here.

Mega Rayquaza Trailer Anime by Terraraptor

Summoning its Ancient Power, the stones that had imprisoned him rose above the ground, floating with energy. Moving too fast for the human eye to track, Mega Rayquaza took off into the air, the boulders following at a slower pace.

Meanwhile, Godzilla had nearly reached that strange floating energy. His curiosity having no bounds at the moment, he stood just within arms length away from it. Slowly, almost daintily, he reached for it.

A sudden sounds caught the great beasts attention. It was akin to a long whistle, as if something was getting close but moving very fast. No, it couldn't be-

Godzilla felt a slight prick on his back, then on his chest. Before he could register this fully, several building sized boulders truck him in the back, shattering on impact but hitting hard enough to get a reaction. He took a step forward due to the force of the blows, but then finally noticed what was odd.

He could not breath.

Looking up, he saw Rayquaza, though larger and slightly different, flying just a few hundred feet away. But what caught Godzilla's attention was the large, red, beating organ being held in its claws. Rayquaza tossed it into the air, then ripped it to shreds with its claws and mandibles, even going as far as to eat some of it.

The King of Kaiju then looked down to see the now healing hole through his chest. A new heart was already forming, but the action had spoken louder then the damage. This was an insult.

Growling, Godzilla turned his attention onto Rayquaza, whom locked eyes with him with equal fury. Whatever slim chance that had existed of this ending peacefully were gone. Someone, something, was going to die.

Cool story, I enjoyed it.
Yet, Rayquaza's hyper beam doesn't have any sufficient strength feats to even damage Goji's head.
Godzilla took Castle Bravo without a scratch.
