There are a lot of strange living things in Earths history. This is a short compiled list of some of my favorites in the category of really potentially horrifying ones. Things that would make great stars of a horror/thriller film, and some that even approach cosmic levels of terror. I'm excluding large predators and giant versions of other species, cause the "fear" response to them depends heavily on the species, situation, and individual. So no Megalodon or Hawsts Eagle. All of these are real organisms, in case there was any doubt. Consider this a Halloween special in something that I can speak on well.

Blue: Oldest, and Team Leader. Keeps a calm head and is the most rational of the group, the least hampered by her instincts. However, this almost makes her the most human of the group. She is the most effected by her own conscience and emotions, and while usually she's great at keeping it under wraps, some issues (their adopted fathers death) can bring that out. She's harsh, but sympathetic, quick to punish but just as quick to forgive. However, that raw emotion is also the reason their team exists. She's been the driving force behind their finding the Grimmdominus rex and extracting their revenge. She was arguably the closest to th

Rin: Damn it all! We aren't making a dent on that thing! Maybe I need to summon Garnet or Lapis for this...
Shirou: I don't think that's a good idea, Rin. You might only be feeding it more with that. I think it's more obvious that the only thing to kill this thing is by non-physical approaches...
Velvet: You might be onto something, Shirou. My guess is that by its organic structure, it'll be weak to high temperatures. Immense heat or cold might just do the trick.
Rin: Right...now where are we going to find any? And fast, because at the rate this thing is gro
So, with the Amazon being intentionally burned at a higher rate than any since 2010, and other rainforests around the world being burned at lesser but still alarming rates, just about every Climate Change model needs to be accelerated. The Amazon itself stores 10% of the worlds Carbon, including that which humans have manually pumped into the air. The vast amount of tree's act like a sponge for the stuff. It also houses a huge portion of the planets Biodiversity, housing 1 in 10 species. Not to mention the Indigenous peoples, some of which are still uncontacted, while others have been legally protecting the Amazon for years, are losing their
Ozpin: "James, give me a reading on Salem's last location. This is unlike her to send Grimm to such an unpopulated area."
Ironwood: "Middle of the South Pacific, several hundred miles from Patagonia, closer to Antarctica than the Equator. Exact readings are unknown, but-"
Ozpin's mug drops to the ground, shattering and spilled liquid everywhere.
Glynda: "....Ozpin?"
Yang: "Whats wrong?"
Ozpin: "....Dear god I've doomed us all."
Glynda: "What are you talking about? We can figure this out, we-"
Ozpin: "I know where she is....and I know what she's planning. With Crona and the Pandora shell.... she's trying to use my biggest mistake agains
Asami is piloting the Hulkbuster, thrashing Eren Jaeger around. Eventually, she rips his human body from out of the Titan. The titan form collapses and begins to dissolve, as Eren slowly wakes up. Everyone is communicating with wireless headsets, aside from Eren who is currently in the arms of the hulkbuster.
Asami: "Stand down hunter. You fought well. But I'm not leaving without Korra."
Eren: (coughing, spittig blood) "No.... you won't leave at all.... Doom has.... more...."
Asami: "More what? Shifters?"
Eren: "No...."

Inside an enemy encampment, Raven and Qrow Branwen find themselves without their weapons and unable to transform, sitting back to back in a jail cell. Both look disheveled and tired, with black eyes.
Qrow: "....Soooo uh, hows that escape plan coming along?"
Raven: "I'm working on it, shut up."
Qrow: "Fine, be that way. I'll get us out myself."
Qrow gets up, leaning near the window of the cell. A fluttering of wings gets his attention. He looks out to see a small crow sitting on the outside windowsile. It makes a soft caw at him.
Qrow: "Perfect. Hey little buddy. Its ok, I'm a friend see?" He plucks a feather from his hair and lets the c
